Vintage Gibson Ukulele Banjo Style 1. This style 1 is very rare only having 8 head brackets instead of the normal 10 indicating this is a very early model. There are cracks in the veneer shell as you can see in the pictures but structurally this piece is fine. The back resonator cover piece is missing on the ukulele while it also appear to have a refinish. Note The Gibson dark finish then goes to lighter which is why I believe this to be refinished. Grover #76 tuners being original to the ukulele along with a 6 inch head. Head has been replaced but there is an old style maple bridge. Rosewood fingerboard does has a few cracks from being dried out over the years also to go along with all the character this ukulele has. Even with this issues this is still a great very early example of these Gibson ukulele banjos. Case is older but I can not say for sure it is original to this piece but will be included in the sale.
