Up for sale is a vintage Gibson LC Century acoustic guitar. Piece is an amazing example of Gibson craftsmanship during the 1930's with the pearloid finger board and headstock with rosewood inlay. The back and sides are maple with the back having a beautiful curly maple look. The neck has had a good reset at some point in its life making this guitar play able with the neck profile having a v shape. There is a side crack on the middle of the treble side at the neck with there being a top crack from the bridge to the bottom on the A string. End of the finger board to the sound hole on a base E has a small crack while also having a crack on the treble side on the edge to the sound hole. There has been a fill in at the bottom of the pickguard at the corner of the bridge from finger wear. Sound hole shows your normal pick wear as shown in the picture. First 4 frets have been replaced at some point in its life but everything else is correct. All the cracks mentioned above have been glued and professionally repaired. Guitar has your typical dings here and there that you would expect from 90 year old guitar (which looks and sounds amazing!) I have looked at the serial number, have asked several guitar dealers there opinion to read the serial number but no one can completely has faded away over the years, right now it shows 3 digits with the last two being 41. These LC Centurys were only made in 1933 to 1937, the tag on the case has 35 but I can not confirm that exactly. I aim to describe my items to perfection so the buyer knows what they are getting versus spending a good amount on money only to be disappointed. For the age of this guitar, considering how rare these Centurys are this piece is in great condition as all older Gibsons had these typical issues over a 90 year life time. According to the Gibsons record books a high end guess would be less than 1000 of these guitars were ever made in the 4 year span. Guitar comes with a newer hardshell case to protect it during shipping, also will be packed with extreme care. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thanks
