Up for sale is a 1958 Martin D-28 acoustic guitar. Talk about a beautiful guitar! The first 5 frets look to have been replaced at some point but the rest are original to the guitar. There is an inside pick guard crack under the E string under the pick guard to the bridge which is very typical of these older Martins. Sound hole does show some wear from over time as I have tried to show in the pictures. Pick guard does show signs of shrinkage but is original with original finish. At some point the original owner installed a very secure strap button that had 4 small screws to secure it which has since been taken off having the holes filled. The metal strap button will be included in the sale for the buyer to make his choice on what to do. Besides these very small issues there is nothing wrong with this guitar. Guitar has never had a neck reset nor does it need one. Ive had a guitar luthier who has been in the business for over 40+ years go over this guitar giving me all the details above. This guitar sounds great and for any high end Martin collector would be a great addition.
